Bipul Pokhrel’s Panel Wins the FNJ Election

Bipul Pokhrel’s panel has won the election of Federation of Nepali Journalists(FNJ) with a landslide result at all three levels.

The election results were announced on Saturday afternoon at the FNJ premises in media village in Kathmandu.

Bipul Pokhrel, the former vice-president has become new president while Roshan Puri has been elected as general secretary.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Bista has become the new Vice-president, Bala Adhikari Vice-president under women and Uday GM as Vice-president for inclusive quota.

Also Govinda Prasad Chaulagain, Srijana Aryal, Dipendra Chauhan, Hemkarna BK, Narayan Kilambu and Pawan Acharya have been elected as the secretaries.

Similarly, Kalendra Sejawal has won the post of treasurer along with other central members.

Each province has elected two central committee members.

Govinda Aacharya’s team is the outgoing one.

Around 13000 journalists from across the country had voted for the same.

The election was delayed almost a year due to Corona pandemic.
