Chinese ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi has called on to Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma ‘Prabhakar’.
In course of the meeting held on Friday, Minister Sharma expressed gratitude towards the support made by China during the post-earthquake reconstruction task and covid-19 pandemic.
“The government’s priority right now is vaccinating the people against the Coronavirus. We are grateful towards China for the 18 lakh doze provided as support and expect the warm assistance in future too,” he added.
“Also on behalf of the government, we make commitment for the proper inspection of the construction projects underway in Nepal with the support of China. We will inspect and move ahead by marking the problems and make sure that the task is completed in time,” he explained.
He also praised ambassador Yanqi for her prompt role in making the assistance available to Nepal.
On the occasion the Chinese ambassador, made it clear, that no matter which government reigns in the country the Chinese policy and support would not change.
“China is always with Nepal in the battle against the covid-19 and earlier too after the earthquake we have assisted in 25 projects all together, with half of the task completed,” she reminded.
The construction work of Darbar high school has completed and the nine-floored palace of Basantpur is almost done, she informed.
