CPN(UML) Expels 11 Lawmakers of Nepal-Khanal Group, 12 Others Asked Clarification

The CPN(UML) standing committee has decided to expel 11 lawmakers of Nepal-Khanal and asked clarification from 12 others.

A meeting held on Monday evening, decided to take expel 11 lawmakers including former prime ministers Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal and seek clarification from 12 others.

After the afternoon writ petition episode of Nepal-khanal group lawmakers had soared the temperature of Baluwatar, as the parliamentarians had signed demanding house reinstatement and appointment of Sher Bahadur Deuba, as the new prime minister.

The lawmakers have been expelled in a way that they will no more remain even in the position of general members of the party.

The other expelled lawmakers include Bhim Rawal, Ram Kumari Jhankri, Sarala Yadav, Mukunda Neupane, Pushpa Kumari Karn, Kalila Khatoon, Lakshmi Kumari Chaudhari, Kalyani Khadka and Nira Devi Jairu.
