Kathmandu/September 12, 2018: Aatbiskot municipality in Rukum district has become a role model by assisting two of it’s student in acquiring higher education to become pilots.

As the federal system has been a new practice in Nepal, the Aatbiskot municipality has aided fifty lakh rupees to each in terms of loan.

Under the convenorship of CPN Standing Committee Member and former Minister for Home Affairs Janardan Sharma, the municipality has sent the two students Phillipines to become pilots.

Lalit Bhandari of Aatbiskot municipality-5 and Govinda KC of 10 from the same municipality left for their destination.

Meanwhile, the municipality has made arrangements for their repayment with a planned pace.

Both the students said they were grateful towards the effort of leader Sharma and Mayor Gorakh Bahadur KC for providing them such opportunity to make their dream come true.

They expressed that leader Sharma had fulfilled his commitment of producing expert human resources in the villages itself.

“There has been a practice of socialism in Rukum in our own life time and that no bright student aspiring to rise high academically and serve their own native place made possible,” stated leader Sharma.

Sharma has been the central representative at the Parliament from Rukum(West).

The step comes in a bid to fulfill the commitment made to assist economically backward students to acquire higher education, informed the Mayor KC.

The municipality has also encouraged other bright students aspiring to become doctor, engineer along other technical courses to register their applications.

The loan has been flowed through local Aatbiskot Saving and Credit Co-operatives. The interest on the loan would be paid by the municipality on behalf of the students.
