Yeti Airlines flying from Nepalgunj to Tribhuwan international airport in Kathmandu slipped off the runway and met with the accident, injuring three.
Due to the accident, some international flights had to remain halted in the air without signals to land.
International flights were diverted to Delhi, as the airport was shut down until 12:15 am.
According to the General Manager of the Airport Raj Kumar Chhetri, the plane had slipped and landed at the grassy plains on the Koteshwor side of the runway.
All the three injured have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
There were total 66 passengers, including two children in the plane.
The incident took place around 9:50 am.
