Tourism Minister active in turning Nagarkot into Quarantine site

March 25, 2020/Bhaktapur: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai held a meeting with local entrepreneurs of Nagarkot regarding turning the site into a quarantine place for people at high risk of Novel Corona virus.
The move comes as the Tourism Minister Bhattarai has been active regarding the proper management and control of the disease, along with the proper usage of the tourism destinations.
During the meeting, the hoteliers expressed their commitment for the support towards the government initiation in the time of crisis.
There are around 2,000 rooms in around 100 hotels in Nagarkot.
Meanwhile, the government also formed a committee to suggest preparations needed to transform the hotels into the quarantine site. Bhaktapur Chief District Officer heads the committee.
The Novel Corona virus outbreak has affected not only the tourism industry but the world economy, at this juncture.
