New York Senate honors Journalists Kishor Panthi and Pradeep Pariyar Thapa.<\/span><\/div>\n
At a program held in Brooklyn, New York, a certificate was signed by New York State Senator Simcha Felder on behalf of the New York Senate.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0It was presented in the presence of Yvette Clarke, a Democratic member of the US House of Representatives from New York.<\/span><\/div>\n
Journalists Thapa and Panthi have been honored with respect to the contribution made in the sector of journalism in America. <\/span><\/div>\n
They were also honored before the City Council of New York City and Jersey City. Yvette Diane Clarke is a Democratic member of the US House of Representatives from New York. Clarke\u2019s district was numbered the 11th district from 2007 to 2013 and redistricted as the 9th district in 2013 covering much of central Brooklyn. <\/span><\/div>\n
Kishor Panthi is a New York-based journalist. He is the first accredited Nepali journalist by US Department of State. He is an anchor, host and US representative for ABC Television Nepal. Kishor Panthi is the primary host of the ABC Television (Nepal) talk show Talk of the Town USA. He is also the founder and editor in chief of Khasokhas Weekly, a Nepali newspaper published in New York City. He is the news editor from 2008 and US Bureau chief from 2010 of ABC Television (Nepal). <\/span><\/div>\n
Meanwhile, Pradeep Pariyar Thapa has been into journalism profession since 1991. He has edited more than a dozen magazines in Nepal and abroad since then and written extensively on social and cultural issues as well as global issues on climate change and political affairs. He has written 7 books on such issues including a poetry book which was published in 2000. Currently, he is the Editor-in-Chief of New York-based popular Nepalese news portal,USNepalOnline which was launched in 2007. Simcha Felder is a Brooklyn, New York political figure who currently represents the 17th District of the New York State Senate. Felder was first elected to his current office in November 2012, defeating incumbent Republican State Senator David Storobin. Felder\u2019s father was Rabbi Harry Felder, spiritual leader of Beth Aaron Congregation in Borough Park.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
