Lalitpur metropolitan city ward 3 has been making vegetables available at cheaper price during the lockdown crisis.
Ward chief Shree Gopal Maharjan informed the walker that the step comes as a move to control the movement of people and provide fresh and cheaper vegetables in their vicinity.
Ward member Milan Maharjan said that they had been going around at 6 places around the ward.
Maharjan said they had been taking the vegetable loaded vehicles to Pulchowk, Jhamsikhel, Sunrise apartments, Dhobighat along others.
Both Ward members Maharjan and Rupesh Thapa were seen helping out the vegetable selling in Lachhi area of Pulchowk on Monday morning.
The prices are cheaper than the private shops and people are happy to get fresh vegetables at their doorsteps.
The ward also has plans to bring rice and other commodities at cheaper price.
- The ward has been along with volunteers in such tasks as usual.
