Anita Roka ‘Samjhana’, the wife of martyr and Brigade commander Prem Bahadur Roka ‘Jeet’ who is seen driving auto in Birendranagar Surkhet has a dream to run the Jeet Memorial Academy in the memory of her late husband.
Better known as Samjhana, she meets leaders of her party besides driving auto, to support her in the campaign to activate the academy.
After having her food in the morning she rushes to the market place, from her place in Pipara in Birendranagar looking for passengers.
In between her job, she also goes to different offices in the hope of support for the academy.
Samjhana received training from Birendranagar municipality to drive auto and has purchased her own auto in instalment.
“My big dream is to run the Jeet Memorial Academy and pay tribute to my late husband,” Samjhana says timidly.
“I was very shy earlier. Now I have gained confidence and at least there is no scarcity of money too,” she added.
“My daughter was just 4 years old, when she lost her father, now she has completed the CDS diploma and all set for a job. My painful days have lessened to some extend,” she mentioned.
Her better half Jeet gained martyrdom in 2061 BS in Ganeshpur in Bardiya district.
Martyr Jeet’s home district is Nalgad municipality-4 in Jajarkot district.
He was popular among the PLA and had fought different war fronts until his demise.
