Nepal Confirms 20 Deaths From COVID-19

20 new Covid-19 death have been confirmed in Nepal with 586 new cases, as the national tally reached 7,177.

Health Ministry spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam, informed press that a 46-year-old woman from Baijanath Rural Municipality-6 in Banke district died of the disease on Monday.
The decreased was admitted to Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur with kidney ailment on June 12. Her swab results on Tuesday came positive for Covid-19.

“Samples from 200 individuals from Mahottari, 127 from Rautahat, 38 from Pyuthan, 31 from Bardiya, 26 from Gulmi, 25 from Salyan, 22 from Dhanusha, 17 from Nawalparasi (East), 14 from Kalikot, 12 from Argakhanchi and 10 from Kapilvastu tested positive for the virus,” informed the Ministry.

According to the ministry, the virus has spread to 73 districts. Manang, Mustang, Okhaldhunga and Rasuwa have not reported any cases so far.
