Nepal Government has asked the Indian side to stop using Nepalese Territory in Lipu Lekh.
Releasing a press note on Saturday, the Min istry for Foreign Affairs, said that the Indian Government should abide by the Sugauli Treaty(1816) and stop it’s interference in Kali(Mahakali) river areas of Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipu Lekh.
It has been also mentioned that building of road on the Nepalese territory was also unacceptable and that the diplomatic relation should be observed with mutual understanding.
Earlier on Friday the Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had innaugurated the linking road to Mansarovar in Tibet of China via Nepalese Territory of Lipu Lekh.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage across the country.
Some youths were arrested on Saturday from different places of Kathmandu while demonstrating against the Indian Interference.
Meanwhile, there are analyst who argue as why the road constructed in the Nepalese territory remained unseen for so long period.
Mansarovar is a very religious destination for Hindu pilgrims and Indian rulers with all their might grabbed the Nepalese land for their religious tourism income generation purpose and also to display their power over a humble neighbor.
