Nepal Government has come up with a map including Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh captured by the neighboring country.
The cabinet meeting held on Monday, has approved the map which was a key point of the Government’s policy and programs 2077-2078.
A minister informed the walker that the decision was a revolutionary step towards the weakening nationality due to intervention from the neighboring country.
Anger had crept among the Nepalese people after the Indian government innaugurated a linking road to Mansarovar in Tibet of China via Lipulekh-a Nepalese territory.
On the contrary instead of correcting its move the Indian government had issued a note mentioning that the road was built fully on Indian land.
This had fuelled the situation in the country with many youths taking to streets against the move.
Many were arrested, though released later.
There had been unrest also earlier when the Indian government had released a new map including Nepalese territory on it’s side.
The Sugauli Treaty of 1816 has clearly mentioned that these territories belong to Nepal.
But it is a sad part that Nepal is facing the territory issue, a country which was never ruled or had become a colony of any other country in the history.
It is a tendency of big nations to dominate the smaller one, displaying big brother attitude.
