The opposition alliance leaders have reached Presidential office Shital Niwas with 149 signatures of lawmakers, recommending Sher Bahadur Deuba as their candidate for PM post.
The team comprising of leaders of Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre), Madhav Kumar Nepal faction, Janata Samajbadi Party faction Upendra Yadav-Baburam Bhattarai have urged for a coalition government.
The CPN-Maoist Centre has withdrawn its support to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led government, today.

CPN-Maoist Centre moots all-party mechanism to deal with pandemic
According to the alliance, they have the support of as many as 149 lawmakers which denotes that they possess the adequate number to form a majority government.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari had given the parties a deadline until Friday 5:00 pm to form a government.
Thursday, the government had recommended the president to initiate the formation of a new government pursuant to Article 76 (5) of the Constitution of Nepal as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli didn’t want to face another trust vote test.
The PM Oli was required to do so within a month of appointed in the post.
In case the new government was not formed in the present circumstances, Oli could raise Article 76 (7) and recommend House dissolution again.
Meanwhile, leaders dear to Prime Oli are busy garnering majority within.
