PM Oli Adds More Ministries on Shoulders of Present 4 Ministers

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has added more ministries on the shoulders of the 4 present ministers after his cabinet expansion move was revoked by the Supreme Court.

The President’s office informed about the shuffling on Thursday, issuing a press release.

However PM Oli has kept the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with him.

Deputy Prime Minister Bishnu Poudel has been assigned the responsibility of Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.

Likewise, Minister Basant Kumar Nembang has been alotted the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ministry of Drinking Water, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and Ministry of Urban Development.

Also, Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security and Ministry of Health and Population.

Meanwhile, Minister Lila Nath Shrestha has been given charge of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.

Recently Supreme Court verdict had relieved 20 newly appointed ministers, including Rajendra Mahato’s team of 11 from Janata Samajbaadi Party Nepal, Mahanth Thakur faction.
