Presidents of Students Union Affiliated to Opposition Alliance Meet Prachanda

Presidents of students unions affiliated to opposition alliance have met CPN(Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal’Prachanda’.

The student leaders met the Maoist Chair Prachanda on Wednesday, at his residence in Khumaltar of Kathmandu.

Those visiting him were student leaders like Rajiv Dhungana president of Nepal Students Union(NSU), Ranjit Tamang of All Nepal Independant Students Union (Revolutionary), Sudesh Parajuli president of All Nepal Free Students Union(ANFSU), Rup Narayan Shrestha of Samajbaadi Students Union and Bimal Pokhrel president of ANNFSU(Sixth).

Prachanda told that the young students should always inspire the political leaders to remain in the movement for the cause of the general People.

Mentioning that the students played a vital role in all the transformations, he said the achievements could be only preserved if the students remained alert.

Also, he said that the Oli led government had shown it’s real colour through different incidents until the date.

“In 2017 BS, Pushpalal fought for the right of the Nepali people, while Raimajhi favoured the feudal system. Can we put them in the same basket”? he questioned.

“The wrong trend needs to be changed and overthrown,” he concluded.

On the occasion the student leaders also took to inviting the Maoist Chair for an interaction program of the leaders for their commitment for a better future and good governance.

“It will be a forum to turn the sadness of the people into hope and trust,” they said.

The presidents of 5 students unions also met Sher Bahadur Deuba president of Nepali Congress and CPN(UML) senior leader and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The two senior leaders also praised the rebel nature of young students and interacted with them.
