Street Festival Kicks-off in Pokhara

Street festival has kicked-off in Pokhara’s lakes attracting huge fanfare.

Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) took the initiation on Thursday to organise the street festival after a long gap due to COVID-19 condition.

“The main goal is to establish Pokhara as the new year destination amid a situation in which the country’s tourism industry has been struggling to cope up with the situation created due to Coronavirus Pandemic,” informed Laxman Baral, president of REBAN Pokhara chapter.

“Our slogan ‘food, music and culture’ displays the components of tourism in Nepal and that the country needs to return back to normalcy,” Baral added.

The street festival witnesses different cultural processions, cultural dances and different delicacies of food item.

Each day has around 50 thousand visitors according to the organisers.

It will last for 3 days until Saturday.
