Tourism Minister Bhattarai Bids Farewell to Qatari Prince

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has bade farewell to the Prince of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Thani & his team after their short stay in Nepal.

Prince of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani has successfully climb Mt. Amadablam and Farewelled amid a press conference on Saturday.

The 13-member mountaineering team including the Prince scaled the summit of the 6,814 metres tall peak at 11.20 am on 11th of October 2020.

Minister Bhattarai thanked his highness for visiting Nepal & also Congratulated him individually and on behalf of Nepal Government.

“His Highness Prince’s visit has given a fresh breathe of air and motivation in the field of tourism sector of Nepal during this current situation,” Minister Bhattarai stressed.

Minister Bhattarai said that Nepal was slowly reviving from the Covid-19 case and the tourism activities were gaining speed amid the program organised in hotel Yak and Yeti in Kathmandu.

During his farewell,after the successful climb of Mt Amadablam, his highness Prince of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Thani expressed his happiness for the hospitality of the Nepalese people as well as the natural beauty of the country and hoped to visit Nepal again in the future.

The Qatar Prince has been 8 times in Nepal for his love in mountaineering and climbed the highest peak Mt. Everest in 2013.
