The chief minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung has resigned, ahead of the session over no-confidence motion filed against him.
Chief Minister Gurung handed over the resignation letter to Province Chief Sita Devi Poudel on Sunday.
He was suppose to face the no-confidence motion filed against him on Monday.
Speculations are being made that he has been following his friend Shankar Pokharel, the Chief Minister of Lumbini, as he had done the same on similar situation sometime back.
