The former president of Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal Nava Raj Dahal says the Corona virus cannot affect VNY 2020, if proper initiation taken for the promotion.
Talking to the walker team, Dahal said
though the number of Chinese tourists may decline from the north; efforts must be made to attract people from Middle East, Europe, America and other continents.
“It is very sad that the neighboring country is reeling under the outburst of deadly COVID-19; but another fact is that Nepal is safe and there is no reason the tourism industry should be affected,” he added.
“But the national and international media should be used to inform the world that Nepal is safe and beautiful country to be visited,” he said.
According to Dahal who is also the Honorary Consul of Republic of Estonia, tourists being involved in employment generation and adventurous activities should be targeted rather than those who just move around and return back.
